Field Trips ... We try and go on one Field Trip at the end of each month to a place nearby that has interesting subjects to photograph. Recent Field Trips include Lafayette Reservoir, Benicia, Grizzly Island, Black Diamond Mines Park, and Locke. Upcoming trips may include local gardens for flowers and bees, San Francisco and Golden Gate Park, Dragon Boat Races on Treasure Island. Field Trips Planned for 2008 January 27 - Martinez Scavenger Hunt February 16 - McNabney Marsh Bird Walk March 30 - Filoli Garden in Woodside April 27 - Uvas Canyon County Park Waterfall Loop May 25 - San Francisco's Alamo Square June 29 July 27 August 31 September 28 October 26 November 30 December 28 We have decided that the last Sunday of the month will be our official field trip day, though we may also go on other days as well. Upcoming Field Trips may include Roaring Camp Railroad, overnight trip in the summer to the beach, local gardens, and maybe a winery in Napa. Our Gatherings ... In July we elect new Officers and announce the Photograper of the Year Awards. In December we have a Holiday Party at a member's house where we exchange gifts and also have our Advancement to the Next Level of Competition announcements. Our E-mail |
